17 States Join Florida in Filing Suit Against the Federal Government

South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Utah, Louisiana, Alabama, Colorado, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Washington, Idaho, South Dakota, Indiana, North Dakota, Mississippi, Nevada and Arizona  have joined Florida to bring suit against the Federal Government and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act claiming it is unconstitutional.

The eighteen states bringing suit against the Federal Government are basing their arguments on the fact that “the Constitution nowhere authorizes the United States to mandate, either directly or under threat of penalty, that all citizens and legal residents have qualifying healthcare coverage.” The states also argue that the tax penalty required under the Act, which must be paid by uninsured citizens and residents, constitutes an unlawful capitation or direct tax” violating the Constitution.

Contact your Legislators and demand that legislation be passed to compel the AG or a Special Attorney join the lawsuit on the behalf of the people and state of Wyoming.

Be sure to contact the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House as well as your legislators.  You will find the legislators' email and phone numbers here.
