Amending the Wyoming Consitution to Protect our Citizens' Rights
The Healthcare Freedom Act
Doctor Patient RelationshipThe Health Care Freedom Act “preserves the right of all persons to make their own health care decisions” expressly protecting the citizens of Wyoming from mandated healthcare and any associated fines.
The wording for The Freedom Healthcare Act Wyoming Constitutional Amendment on the Ballot in November 2010, should the Amendment pass the house and senate with a two thirds majority – provided that a special session is called - would be as follows:
That the Secretary of State shall endorse the following statement on the proposed
amendment:
The adoption of this amendment would preserve the right of all persons to make their own health care decisions. It expressly prohibits the federal government from mandating individuals or
entities to participate in any type of health care system or health insurance plan. The amendment would prohibit laws imposing fines, taxes or other penalties upon an individual or entity for
choosing to obtain or decline health care coverage or to participate in any health care system or plan, or to pay directly or receive payment directly for health care services.
During the 2010 Budget Session, the Health Care Freedom Act, an amendment to the Wyoming Constitution, failed introduction. Even though the Wyoming legislature has a veto-proof majority the amendment was not even introducted to either the house or the senate.

Senator Bill Landen (R) Casper/Natrona County
Senator Grant Larson (R) Jackson /Teton County
Senator John Schiffer (R) Kaycee Sheridan/Johnson County
Senator Charlie Scott (R) Casper/ Natrona County
It is important to note that not one single democrat voted for the Healthcare Freedom Act.
